My Summer

Hello all my peeps, or should I say pups (haha).  As you can see, once again it's been a long time since I've been able to get mommy's computer away again, but since she has been looking for a job, she now has a computer with Windows 10 AND a MacBook, so I am going to take this one as often as I can.

Sooooooo, guess what Mommy forgot this year.  She forgot my birthday.  I  waited and waited all day for her to leave the door open, like last year, but she never did it, so I got stuck inside and all I got was a bone.  I don't know what the problem was.  I had so much fun last year when I snuck out and got to play with all of those other Yorkie pups for 3 days.  Instead, I was stuck here with Micah and Toby (Toby is my much much older brother who was living with my sister Megan, but is now staying with my Aunt Belinda - my mommy's sister).  It's very complicated.

About Micah.  He is GREAT!  Now that he is grown up a little, he doesn't bother me so much.  He is a whole bunch bigger than me, mommy says twice my size.  I think he has a birthday coming up soon too, but mommy has admitted she can't remember.  She has asked the vet (I know cause I was there) but she forgot again.  That mommy...

Since we got back from Texas, I haven't done much except sit in the house and enjoy the air conditioning.  It's been way to hot.  Micah did get a haircut and he looks really different now.

My sissy Megan did this - but she didn't make his ear fall down.  For some reason, he did that and he won't make it stand back up again.  Mommy is always telling him to do it, but he won't.

We also got new outfits for Memorial day.  Mommy bought my dress online, but Micah's outfit is from one of her Build-a-Bears.  I know what those are because every time Micah and I find one we get told we can't play with them.  Not fair.  They look like a LOT of fun!

On the 4th of July mommy bought this dress for me.  It was made by this nice lady who used to make dresses for the show Toddler's and Tiara's.  Don't I look good????

I love this dress.  It is probably my favorite of all times.  I just want to know where MY tiara is!

That's pretty much for now.  Mommy is still looking for a job, and I hope she finds one, but secretly it has been nice having her home every day.  I am going to really miss her when she has to go back to work.  I hope Micah will be okay.  He's never been here when Mommy had to work.  Maybe we'll be lucky and she'll get another job where we can go with her.  Micah and I have our paws crossed.

Now that I have my own computer (he he he), I'll be posting more often.  Write me back, if you wanna.

Love you,
Maizie

My Trip to Texas

Hi All,

Blog Part 1:
So, by now most of you know I took Mommy to Texas so I could meet all her friends and family.  I have never been to Texas, but I am having a great time, plus I am making sure mama (that's a Texas word) stays safe and makes sure she takes all her medicines.  I have been "blogging" and posting pictures on mama's facebook account, which I will also post here, once we get back to Virginia.  I didn't know mama had so many family members, and I love them all, especially my grandpa, even if he does call me 'rata'.  It's okay though, he lets me sleep on his lap and he takes care of me when mama has to go out and can't take me places cause they don't allow service dogs.

So my new blog has started.  I'll post it on facebook now and when it is all complete after we get home.  Miss everyone at home, especially Micah, but I hear he is having a great time either with Henry or with Aunt BB.  Wonder if he is going to want to come home after he's been over there for a few days.  I don't know who loves him more, Jacob, Daniel or Mandy.

Write again soon, Love, Maizie!

Blog Part 2:
It's taken a while to recuperate, but I finally am rested enough to tell everyone about my first trip to Texas.

First, I learned, as I left Virginia it is important to stop at every state sign and get your picture taken.  I don't know why, but Mommy said this was important, if you've never been to that State before, so  here are all the pictures she could get.

These are all the signs we stopped at on the way there.  Mommy said there wasn't one in Georgia and she didn't see one in Alabama.

This is the one from Virginia when we came home.  I was really glad when I didn't have to take any more sign pictures!

When we got to Texas I got to meet my Grandpa.  He was lots and lots of fun.  I like playing with him and like sitting on his chair, only I was afraid of it at first.  My daddy has one kind of like my grandpa's.  The feet thingy pops up but daddy usually waits til I'm on his lap before he pops it up.  Grandpa would pop it up and it would scare me, then I wouldn't know how to get on his lap, but he was so nice that he would put it down and let me crawl up and then pop it again.

One day, I got to meet some of Mommy's litter.  I got to meet two of her sisters (mommy called them aint Becky and aint Patty - she sure talks funny here).  I thought that was a weird thing to call her litter mates, but I soon got used to it.  She also said that I had an uncle dale.  He came with aint Patty so I guess he must be part of the litter too.  These are the pictures I took with them.
We got to Grandpa's on Saturday and saw them all on Sunday.  I had lots of fun cause I got lots of love!

On Monday, we took a drive and Mommy took me to get pictures with bluebonnets.  I didn't know what bluebonnets were before, but Mommy told me they were the State flower of Texas. They are very pretty.  She even taught me a song.  Want to hear it?  It goes like this.  "Bluebonnets, bluebonnets, bluebonnets oh so blue.  Your bright eyes are shining like the silvery dew.  I know you're a dolly, offered for the rain.  I'll know that you'll return again to Texas in the spring."  Isn't that pretty.  Mommy sings it much better than me.  While we were out taking pictures, mommy met this guy named Rodney, who was taking pictures of his dogs too and said he would take some of me.  He said he was a professional photographer, like my daddy, and said he would send the pictures to mommy for free.  We both thought that was very nice.  Here are his pictures (in a little video).

There was lots and lots of other things we did, but mostly I just had fun running around grandpa's really big back yard.  I hope we get to go to Texas again sometime soon.  Mommy has other litter mates I didn't get to meet and they all have babies, and their babies have babies.

Thank you Mommy for taking me to Texas, and thank you grandpa for letting us come and stay.  Sorry for pee peeing and poopying on your floor that couple times, and thanks for not getting mad at me when I had my little accidents.

Love,
Maizie

Do you have a favorite toy?

Do you have a favorite toy?  I have two, but my favoritist of all is my ball.  Do you have a ball?  If you don't, you should really go and get one.  For the longest time I thought my favoritist toy was my rubber chicken, but Mommy says that is just my stress reliever.  I don't know what that means, but I do know when I play with it, I feel much, much better.  My dog walker, Henry, has a video of me playing with it.  Maybe I can get him to send me a copy so I can add it to my blog.  He said it's pretty funny!

But as much as I like to play with my chicken that is NOT my bestest favoritist toy.  I bet you are all wondering what it looks like, aren't you, huh???

Well here it is!

This is my BALL!  Oh how I love my ball!  Do you have a ball?  If you don't you should go out and get one.  Do you know what you can do with a ball?  You can chase it, and drop it, and make Mommy and Daddy pick it up every time you drop it behind something (hee hee, on purpose) just so they will pick it up and throw it again.  Sometime's I play with it for so long I actually fall asleep with it in my mouth.  It's okay though, because my ball is very soft and very squishy.  I love to sleep with my ball in my mouth.

Here's a video of me playing with my ball:
https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10203314062803651&l=2968911219007874268

I do not like it when Micah play's with my ball though.  I get really mad at him when he takes it because it is mine.  Mommy doesn't understand when I won't share but I don't care because it is my ball.  I let him play with everything else, even my rubber chicken so I don't think I have to share my ball.  Can you tell Mommy so she understands, please?

Speaking of Micah, I have decided I really like him (but he does get on my nerves sometimes).  Do you think that is okay?  But I do worry about him when he doesn't feel good and I always go get him if he get's stuck on the stairs when it's time to go outside and go pee pee.

We did pose for pictures together.  This is our Christmas outfits.  I think we are really cute together. On Sunday we are going on a Christmas play date and we are wearing our Christmas outfits, but I am NOT taking my ball!

I'm sure Mommy will take lots and lots and lots of pictures of me and Micah at Christmas, so I'll post again soon.  I hope you have a Happy Holiday and that you will get a ball!

Micah

So THIS is Micah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, go ahead and say it.  He's cute.  Still not as cute as me, but whatever.  When he came home last night he was a lot of fun but then I noticed that mommy was paying way to much attention to him and I got a little mad.  OK, I got a lot of mad.  I didn't even want to sleep with her I was so mad.  She did put him to bed at about 8:00, in my old crate (MY old crate) and then mommy went to bed to do homework.  She wanted me to join her but I didn't feel like it.  All I wanted to do was shake, and shake and shake my rubber chicken.  I don't know why I was so mad.

I got him though!  This morning, at about 2:30 I started barking and woke him up and that made him bark and cry.  Pretty soon mommy got up and moved his whole crate downstairs.  I thought he would just cry and want to go home, instead, mommy could still hear him so she made me go get in the crate with him.  Guess that didn't work out as well as I thought..

This morning, daddy let both me and Micah out of the crate and let us go outside and run a while.  That was fun, even if it was wet from raining.  We came in and had a little breakfast, but when mommy got up, Micah went straight to her.  That is MY job.  I'm supposed to give mommy morning kisses.  I got really mad again.  I really wanted to hurt Micah, but mommy wouldn't let me.  I think she likes him more than me.

After she took a shower and got dressed, Micah and I were playing.  Mommy sat down on the floor so she could play and Micah went up to her again and started giving her MY kisses.  I got so mad I tried to bite him, but again mommy wouldn't let me.  She picked me up and she held me really tight and petted me and kissed me and told me how much she loved me.  I thought she didn't like me anymore because Micah is so cute and because he is a baby, even though he is the same size as me.  I put my head on mommy's shoulder and she just petted and petted me and told me how much she loved me.  I felt much better after that.  She held me for a very long time, even while Micah was at her feet crying because he wanted to be picked up.  She didn't put me down and pick him up, she just held me and I was happy.

I think I like Micah a little more now and I will try to be nicer to him.  While mommy sat on the couch doing homework, she played ball with me and played with another toy with Micah.  It did take her a long time to type her homework, but she was able to play with both of us at the same time so I didn't feel left out.  I haven't growled at Micah since mommy held me upstairs.  Maybe having a baby brother isn't such a bad thing after all.  He DID get a whole bunch of brand new toys, and I like playing with all of them.

I don't know how things will go, but as long as I know my mommy and daddy still love me as much as before I think it will be okay.

To My Loyal Followers - I hope I still have Loyal Followers

Once again, I had to wait until Mommy went to sleep to steal her computer.  She has been working very hard, since she went back to work and school, and every night she comes home and plays with me and loves me for a little while, then goes right to work doing homework.  I hope she is doing well, because I miss all the time I spent with her when she was home sick.  I am glad Mommy is better, but I really do miss our special time together.

While Mommy was getting ready for bed tonight, and before she started homework, I took her phone and took some selfies.  It is the first time I've actually taken selfies so I hope they came out okay.  Mommy hasn't seen them so when she see's my blog she will be seeing them for the first time.  I hope she likes them and I hope you like them all too!  I did forget to edit a couple, but I'm sure Daddy will forgive me.  He takes better pictures anyway, and it was my first time, after all.  Plus I really don't know what editing is, I just hear Daddy telling Mommy she should edit her pictures before she posts them.

I also have to share some news with you.  I am getting a baby brother!  His name is Micah.  I've seen pictures of him and he is really cute.  Not as cute as me, but who is?  Just kidding.  Micah is my cousin's Stella and Noah's baby.  Stella and Noah live with my Daddy and Mommy's cousin Nikki.  They live all the way in Oklahoma.  I don't know where that is.  Maybe someone can tell me.  Anyway, Micah is flying here on an airplane on the 22nd and I cannot wait.  I don't know what an airplane is either.  Maybe someone can tell me that too.  I think if it fly's it must be a big bird like the ones I chase in the back yard all the time.  It must be bigger than those birds though because I don't think I could fly on one of those.  I don't know for sure because they won't stay still long enough for me to try.  I don't mean to chase them, I really just want to play but they see me coming and they just fly away.

I try to play with the squirrels too, but they don't sit still either.  I do not understand why no one will play with me, they just all go away when I come outside.  I am glad Micah is coming.  I know I will love him; I hope he loves me too.  If he does then I will always have someone to play with.

So here are my selfies.  I am excited for Mommy and Daddy to see them.  If I still have followers out there, I hope you like them too.  I know I said this before, but I do promise to blog more often.  When Micah gets here, maybe we can blog together.  Please write back if you want.

Maizie

Finally got the computer to myself

Well it's about time, Mommy finally left me alone with her computer.  It has been a VERY long time since I posted, but I just can't seem to get her to even give me five minutes so I can blog.  I keep telling her I have faithful followers out there, but she is just too busy doing work, or homework, or playing Farmville on Facebook to care.  So while she's at work, I thought I would take advantage of the situation and take over her computer and let everyone know what has been happening with me lately.

So, first off, on Sunday I turned 7 months.  Mommy says I've got an attitude now - I have no idea what she's talking about.  She keeps calling me her little "tween".  I don't know what that is, but I have a feeling it's not good because when she says it, she doesn't exactly sound happy.  When she's happy she calls me Monkey, which I do like.

I also completed my first puppy training class, but Mommy says she doesn't know how because all I wanted to do was play with the other dogs.  I don't know WHAT her problem is, I just like having fun and the big dogs are so much fun to play with.  The little dogs are too, but they don't rough and tumble as much as the bigger dogs do.

OH, and we went to the dog park the other day.  That was so much fun.  The first day we were there, there was a whole bunch of little dogs and I had fun, but I wanted to get on the other side of the fence so I could play with the bigger dogs.  Last week, I got to and it was SO much fun.  I would run up on one of them and they would chase me then roll me over and over.  It was AWESOME.  I got really dirty but it was worth it because the big dogs are so much fun.  Their parents always get worried when I'm around because they are afraid that I'm going to get hurt, but I can take it.  I'm tough and I love how they play.  No one barks at me.  They just run and run and run (because I'm fast and they can't catch me - most of the time).

I don't go to work with Mommy as much as I used to, because she says I'm to rambunctious. I don't have any idea what that means, all I know is that I really miss being with her.  I do like being at home though.  I get Mommy and Daddy's big old bed all to myself and then when they get home they give me lots and lots of love.

I've also discovered the backyard - did I tell you we had a backyard?  Well we do and it's so much fun.  There are lots of places for me to explore.  I'm glad the weather is finally getting warmer because now I can go out and play as long as I want.  It's great being a big girl.

I guess that's it for now.  Daddy is getting ready to go to work, so I better get off the computer so I can spend a little time with him before he goes.  Have a good day everyone.  Maybe Mommy will let me on the computer again soon and I won't have to sneak around to get it.

Love, Maizie

My First Yorkie Play Group

Today I went with mommy to a Yorkie playgroup and I got to meet a whole bunch of new friends.  We had so much fun.  We got to play with lots of toys and run and chase balls and each other.  The lady who was in charge was so nice she even gave me a little rubber chicken to take home and play with.  I just love it.  It squeaks and it is so much fun to chase around the house.  Mommy took lots of pictures.  While she is posting them for me, I am going to go and take a nap because I am really, really tired now.

I hope we get to go there again really soon.
